TITHING A COMMANDMENT OF GOD.
Tithe is a commandment of the Lord and blessing is attached to it.
Right from the old testament, the works of God has been on progressive path, unveiling Himself gradually to his people.
Make no mistake, whatever God gave as a commandment, Satan will polarize it, making it of no effect.
In our days, due to satanic influence, false pastors and teachers, the Anointed ones in the end time has caused many to think that tithing is not of God.
GENESIS OF TITHE:
Gen 14:20 (KJV)
And blessed be the most high God, which hath delivered thine enemies into thy hand. And he gave him tithes of all.
Heb 7:1-3 (KJV)
For this Melchisedec, king of Salem, priest of the most high God, who met Abraham returning from the slaughter of the kings, and blessed him;
2 To whom also Abraham gave a tenth part of all; first being by interpretation King of righteousness, and after that also King of Salem, which is, King of peace;
3 Without father, without mother, without descent, having neither beginning of days, nor end of life; but made like unto the Son of God; abideth a priest continually.
Without much stress, we know that Melchisedec is God Himself in the form of a man, he is our high priest continually.
My emphasis was on verse two: Why will Abranham pay a tenth part of all to a man, who told him to do so, the answer is that, Abraham is a prophet and a son of God, he knows that it is right to give to God, and we Christians are descendant of Abraham.
Note: We have two dispensations: The law dispensation and the Grace dispensation, when Abraham gave to God tenth part of all, the law was not giving, that means it was Grace. The law was given in the time of Moses.
Emphasis 2:
Deut 28:15-17 (KJV)
But it shall come to pass, if thou wilt not hearken unto the voice of the LORD thy God, to observe to do all his commandments and his statutes which I command thee this day; that all these curses shall come upon thee, and overtake thee:
16 Cursed shalt thou be in the city, and cursed shalt thou be in the field.
17 Cursed shall be thy basket and thy store.
Curse is on any man that shall not hearken unto the voice of the Lord.
Emphasis 3:
Deut 14:22-25 (KJV)
Thou shalt truly tithe all the increase of thy seed, that the field bringeth forth year by year.
23 And thou shalt eat before the LORD thy God, in the place which he shall choose to place his name there, the tithe of thy corn, of thy wine, and of thine oil, and the firstlings of thy herds and of thy flocks; that thou mayest learn to fear the LORD thy God always.
24 And if the way be too long for thee, so that thou art not able to carry it; or if the place be too far from thee, which the LORD thy God shall choose to set his name there, when the LORD thy God hath blessed thee:
25 Then shalt thou turn it into money, and bind up the money in thine hand, and shalt go unto the place which the LORD thy God shall choose:
My emphasis is on the verse 23, they shalt eat before the Lord thy God, in the place which he shall choose to place his name. The only place God chooses to place His name is in Lord Jesus Christ.
For in him dwelleth the fullness of God head bodily. Colossians 2:9.
And Christ is in his church now, and the sons of God are bring in there tithes.
Emphasis 4:
Deut 14:26-29 (KJV)
And thou shalt bestow that money for whatsoever thy soul lusteth after, for oxen, or for sheep, or for wine, or for strong drink, or for whatsoever thy soul desireth: and thou shalt eat there before the Lord thy God, and thou shalt rejoice, thou, and thine household,
27 And the Levite that is within thy gates; thou shalt not forsake him; for he hath no part nor inheritance with thee.
28 At the end of three years thou shalt bring forth all the tithe of thine increase the same year, and shalt lay it up within thy gates:
29 And the Levite, (because he hath no part nor inheritance with thee,) and the stranger, and the fatherless, and the widow, which are within thy gates, shall come, and shall eat and be satisfied; that the Lord thy God may bless thee in all the work of thine hand which thou doest.
My emphasis is on verse 29, it is meant for the up keep of the congregation, the levites, the fatherless, the widow etc, if we still have all this class of people within a congregation, it means we still needs tithe. Some have tried to replace it with, playing lottery, raising money, and selling blanket, all are satan tactics to try to rubbish the word of God.
Num 18:21 (KJV)
And, behold, I have given the children of Levi all the tenth in Israel for an inheritance, for their service which they serve, even the service of the tabernacle of the congregation.
1 Cor 9:13-14 (KJV)
Do ye not know that they which minister about holy things live of the things of the temple? and they which wait at the altar are partakers with the altar?
14 Even so hath the Lord ordained that they which preach the gospel should live of the gospel.
Those that preach the gospel should live of the gospel.
Emphasis 5:
Mal 3:9-12 (KJV)
Ye are cursed with a curse: for ye have robbed me, even this whole nation.
10 Bring ye all the tithes into the storehouse, that there may be meat in mine house, and prove me now herewith, saith the LORD of hosts, if I will not open you the windows of heaven, and pour you out a blessing, that there shall not be room enough to receive it.
11 And I will rebuke the devourer for your sakes, and he shall not destroy the fruits of your ground; neither shall your vine cast her fruit before the time in the field, saith the LORD of hosts.
12 And all nations shall call you blessed: for ye shall be a delightsome land, saith the LORD of hosts.
Mal 3:9-12 was a commandment of God to give tithe, to help the ministry, to sustain the shepherd that live of the gospel, to help the needy, poor and helpless.
People give money to charity, millions of dollars to private organisation, would it not be fair to give for the cause of the gospel?, printing of materials and building of a place for fellowship.
Tithe is a kingdom principle, we are to contribute our own quota in the spreading of the gospel. Just like paying tax in the country you are living.
You contribute to the development of the country, but if you are not paying tax, you can’t lose your citizenship, but there are right and benefit you will lose as a citizen. Jesus even paid tax, tithe is the tax for the kingdom.
The old testament is the new testament conceal, while the new testament is the old testament unveil.
In this last church age of Laodicea, we have the seventh angel messenger who God has vindicated with INFALLIBLE proof, has taught that tight are obligatory for Christians
Without tithe and offering how will you contribute in the spreading of the Gospel of Christ?, is left for you to answer.
