WHAT IS FIRSTFRUIT, AND THE TRUTH ABOUT IT.

First fruit offering was to thank and acknowledge God for providing the Israelites with the land flowing with milk and honey.
First fruit offering was not the act of faith; it was a ceremonial act offering.
We are the spiritual Israel and sons of Abraham partaking in the commandment, grace and ordinance given to us all.

Leviticus 23:9-11 (KJV)
9 And the LORD spake unto Moses, saying,
10 Speak unto the children of Israel, and say unto them, when ye be come into the land which I give unto you, and shall reap the harvest thereof, then ye shall bring a sheaf of the first fruits of your harvest unto the priest:
11 And he shall wave the sheaf before the LORD, to be accepted for you: on the morrow after the Sabbath the priest shall wave it.

Exodus 13:11-13 (KJV)
11 And it shall be when the LORD shall bring thee into the land of the Canaanites, as he sware unto thee and to thy fathers, and shall give it thee,
12 That thou shalt set apart unto the LORD all that openeth the matrix, and every firstling that cometh of a beast which thou hast; the males shall be the LORD’S.
13 And every firstling of an ass thou shalt redeem with a lamb; and if thou wilt not redeem it, then thou shalt break his neck: and all the firstborn of man among thy children shalt thou redeem.
First fruit offering is commandment from God to appreciate that which he has given us, and that which he has committed in our hand.
First fruit offering, is a commandment from God even as tithe was also a commandment from God.

Numbers 18:25-27 (KJV)
25 And the LORD spake unto Moses, saying,
26 Thus speak unto the Levites, and say unto them, When ye take of the children of Israel the tithes which I have given you from them for your inheritance, then ye shall offer up an heave offering of it for the LORD, even a tenth part of the tithe.
27 And this your heave offering shall be reckoned unto you, as though it were the corn of the threshing floor, and as the fullness of the winepress.

Exodus 34:26-27 (KJV)
26 The first of the first fruits of thy land thou shalt bring unto the house of the LORD thy God. Thou shalt not seethe a kid in his mother’s milk.
27 And the LORD said unto Moses, Write thou these words: for after the tenor of these words I have made a covenant with thee and with Israel.

IS FIRST FRUIT STILL APPLICABLE IN OUR DAYS NOW?.

YESNumbers 3:12-13 (KJV)
12 And I, behold, I have taken the Levites from among the children of Israel instead of all the firstborn that openeth the matrix among the children of Israel: therefore, the Levites shall be mine;
13 Because all the firstborn are mine; for on the day that I smote all the firstborn in the land of Egypt I hallowed unto me all the firstborn in Israel, both man and beast: mine shall they be: I am the LORD.
The question is, do we still have pastors and men who work in the vine yard, yes, so first fruits is still applicable.

Deuteronomy 14:28-29 (KJV)
28 At the end of three years thou shalt bring forth all the tithe of thine increase the same year, and shalt lay it up within thy gates:
29 And the Levite, (because he hath no part nor inheritance with thee,) and the stranger, and the fatherless, and the widow, which are within thy gates, shall come, and shall eat and be satisfied; that the LORD thy God may bless thee in all the work of thine hand which thou doest.

Today we still have widows, fatherless and the less privileges in the Church, so tithe and first fruits is still applicable.

SOME TEACHES FIRST FRUITS TO BE DONE YEARLY AND YOU MUST GIVE EVERYTHING, THIS IS TOTAL ERROR.

REASONS ARE THESE:

Exo 13:13 the firstborn of man among thy children shalt thou redeem.

1: The emphasis is redeem, and redeem is done once, Abraham redeemed his son once, there was never a place in the scriptures where they say that he sacrificed or presented Isaac for sacrifice again.
We are redeem by God, Lord Jesus Christ Once, once saved forever you are save.
First fruits should be once in a life time payment, you can only pay first fruits again if you change your line of business, or you lose your job and gets another, then the first salary from the job, you need to pay your first fruits from it.

2: First fruit is heave offering, Leviticus 23:10 then ye shall bring a sheaf of the first fruits of your harvest unto the priest.
Note and after paying your first fruits offering, you should pay your tithe as well, but other subsequent salary you receive should be tithe only and seed faith offering.
2 Chronicles 31:5 (KJV)
And as soon as the commandment came abroad, the children of Israel brought in abundance the first fruits of corn, wine, and oil, and honey, and of all the increase of the field; and the tithe of all things brought they in abundantly.

3: If everything is to be given in first fruits, what then do we have to plant for the next season, if you are a farmer, but if you are a worker you go begging for that months, it is wrong, we need to balance the whole ordinance to both farmers, workers and business men and women, for we server and worship one God.

4: First fruits shouldn’t be a December or January payment, it should be once, and payment varies from person to person, depending on when one gets a new job or new line of business.
It should be your first salary, after that other subsequent salary should be tithe and other offerings from your heart.

5:The word First only comes once and not twice, reason with me for a while, put on your spiritual anthena, when Israelites sacrifices the first lamb God, and later the mother lamb have another baby, that should be the second kid, and not the first, but God required only the first.
