You can be holy and yet don’t believe in God, you can be holy and yet not righteous, but if you are righteous, you can be holy.
Holiness without the power of God behind it is self righteousness.

Righteousness is holiness according to the perfect will of God and knowing who the son of God is.

And it shall be our righteousness, if we observe to do all these commandments before the LORD our God, as he hath commanded us.
Righteousness of God is the revelation of God personally in your life, that spirit of God in you will cause you to live a holy life and a pleasing life before God, to walk right.

All things are delivered unto me of my Father: and no man knoweth the Son, but the Father; neither knoweth any man the Father, save the Son, and he to whomsoever the Son will reveal him.

Howbeit when he, the Spirit of truth, is come, he will guide you into all truth: for he shall not speak of himself; but whatsoever he shall hear, that shall he speak: and he will shew you things to come.
When that spirit comes he will lead you to right baptism in the name of Jessu Christ and by immersion, baptism being outward expression that innward grace has taken place.

In summary God’s righeousness, which is the revelation of Christ in you to lead you rightly, that spirit will lead you to do correct water baptism, and gives you power to live a holy life, finally giving you the baptism of the Holy Ghost, given you power that the second death has no power over you.
