Clarification of Revelation 20:4-5
Revelation 20:4-6 (KJV)
4 And I saw thrones, and they sat upon them, and judgment was given unto them: and I saw the souls of them that were beheaded for the witness of Jesus, and for the word of God, and which had not worshipped the beast, neither his image, neither had received his mark upon their foreheads or in their hands; and they lived and reigned with Christ a thousand years.
5 But the rest of the dead lived not again until the thousand years were finished. This is the first resurrection.
6 Blessed and holy is he that hath part in the first resurrection: on such the second death hath no power, but they shall be priests of God and of Christ and shall reign with him a thousand years.
I just want to clarify this issue or topic of resurrection, from the book of revelation 20:4-5, it says which had not worshiped the beast, neither had received his mark upon their foreheads.
We knew that the bride of Christ was sealed in revelation 7:14.
Revelation 7:14-15 (KJV)
14 And I said unto him, Sir, thou knowest. And he said to me, These are they which came out of great tribulation, and have washed their robes, and made them white in the blood of the Lamb.
15 Therefore are they before the throne of God, and serve him day and night in his temple: and he that sitteth on the throne shall dwell among them.
From revelation 20:4, says I saw thrones, these are same people with the lamb on the throne in revelation 7:14, take note of the conjunction ” AND ” In revelation 20:4 is talking about another set of people which is the foolish virgin in Matthew 25.
Matthew 25:1-13 (KJV)
1 Then shall the kingdom of heaven be likened unto ten virgins, which took their lamps, and went forth to meet the bridegroom.
2 And five of them were wise, and five were foolish.
3 They that were foolish took their lamps, and took no oil with them:
4 But the wise took oil in their vessels with their lamps.
5 While the bridegroom tarried, they all slumbered and slept.
6 And at midnight there was a cry made, Behold, the bridegroom cometh; go ye out to meet him.
7 Then all those virgins arose and trimmed their lamps.
8 And the foolish said unto the wise, Give us of your oil; for our lamps are gone out.
9 But the wise answered, saying, Not so; lest there be not enough for us and you: but go ye rather to them that sell, and buy for yourselves.
10 And while they went to buy, the bridegroom came; and they that were ready went in with him to the marriage: and the door was shut.
11 Afterward came also the other virgins, saying, Lord, Lord, open to us.
12 But he answered and said, Verily I say unto you, I know you not.
13 Watch therefore, for ye know neither the day nor the hour wherein the Son of man cometh.
Because they have missed to be with the Groom being the Lamb of God, Lord Jesus Christ, they were ready to die for what they believe in, and God gave them another chance, the grace to be in the millennium, but the reward and the marriage feast will they missed. Our God is a merciful God, is not His wish that any should perish, but that all should come into everlasting life. But revelation 9 proves that some won’t accept God no matter what they saw or hear about God.
Let’s go back to revelation 9
Revelation 9:20 (KJV)
And the rest of the men which were not killed by these plagues yet repented not of the works of their hands, that they should not worship devils, and idols of gold, and silver, and brass, and stone, and of wood: which neither can see, nor hear, nor walk:
From this passage, men that see the power and anger of God repented not, how much more Christians waiting for the Messiah, but missed Him due to the lack of oil ( The Holy Ghost ) will miss the millennium.
OUR GOD IS A MERCIFUL GOD. SHALO
